Regardless of the model they select, the potent 5x Telephoto camera is now available on the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, enabling customers to capture the action from a greater distance. With Apple Vision Pro, customers can now relive memories with amazing depth by taking spatial images in addition to films taken with the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

In Slo-mo or Video mode, users can record at 4K, 120 frames per second. Once captured, they can modify the playback speed in the Photos app. There are three options available: quarter-speed playback, half-speed playback for a dreamy effect, and fifth-speed playback, which translates to 24 frames per second. Coupled with the A18 Pro’s new image signal processor (ISP), users may perform frame-by-frame colour grading for 4K120 frames per second in Dolby Vision that is cinema-quality. For effective pro workflows, users can now record in 4K at 120 frames per second in ProRes and log straight to an external storage device.

Four new studio-quality microphones on both Pro models maintain realistic recorded sounds, and video can now be recorded in spatial audio for immersive AirPods, Apple Vision Pro, or surround sound system listening. The iPhone 16 Pro lineup also offers innovative new methods for editing video sound with Audio Mix. Users can modify their sound after it has been captured to highlight the subject’s voice, create the impression that the video was recorded in a professional studio, or arrange vocal tracks front and centre among background noises in surround sound. Robust machine learning (ML) techniques remove unwanted noise for improved audio quality through wind noise reduction.

With the ability to locally modify colour, highlights, and shadows in real time, next-generation photographic styles enable users to express their creativity and personalise their images. In addition, styles are more cognisant of skin undertones, allowing users to customise their appearance in pictures. Adjustments are made to individual colours of a chosen style, as opposed to filters, which frequently take a one-size-fits-all approach by adding a colour to a complete scene. More creative possibilities for altering a photo’s look are provided by a broader selection of styles, which may also be further customised with an intuitive new control pad and intensity slider for simultaneous tone and colour alterations. These changes can be made in real time during the preview, afterwards after the picture is taken, or even in reverse.

A new level of pro camera system is achieved using Apple Intelligence. Later on, Siri will have the ability to carry out commands within apps and perform cross-app actions, such as bringing up a certain photo from the user’s Photos library and then altering it in Darkroom. Additionally, Siri may assist users in making the most of the extensive variety of photo and editing features. For example, users can ask Siri to modify the blur in a shot’s background
