Portugal is all set to putting Cristiano Ronaldo on a €7 coin.

The Legend Footballer’s homeland has just reported that they are introducing a 7€ coin in its currency to honour its greatest football asset. 

Portugal is once again ready to honour the football legend Ronaldo in a very unique way, CR7, who is known to be a goal machine with no chance of slowing down anytime soon.

The €7 coin is specially decided by keeping in mind the goal scorer’s iconic shirt number, while coin experts are also destined that this coin will be a ‘major money maker’. 

The coin is designed in a way featuring an image of the five-time Balloon d’Or award winner and ‘CR7’ embossed on it and will be acceptable as an official currency of the country once it is launched.

If we talk about the 39-year-old soccer king, with over 130 goals for his team along with other iconic records and achievements, including Portugal’s historic victory in Euro 2016 and lifting the trophy of the UEFA Nations League with A Selecao in 2019, Ronaldo’s impact on the country’s national football is no doubt very impactful and undeniable.

Not only this, Ronaldo had just added another record by completing his 900th goal during a UEFA Nations League match against Scotland this month.

A Sportskeeda report says, after all these magnificent achievements and records, Portugal wants to honour its most famous and successful son by launching an official “7” Euro coin. 

Precious metals expert from Pacific Precious Metals, Dan Barrett, has predicted the coin’s worth will enormously surpass its €7 value, hinting it to become a ‘huge’ hit among not only the collectors but also the fans, and prices to expand due to its limited availability.

Given the coin’s gold content and Ronaldo’s worldwide following, the estimated collector’s market of the coin selling will be up to $150,000.
