No More iPhone Battery Issues: Here are some simple hacks.

No More iPhone Battery Issues: Here are some simple hacks.

Having a smart phone with a long-lasting battery is crucial in this fast-paced world, particularly if you travel regularly or have a long commute. Even though you can always bring along a portable charger, there are easy tweaks you can do in the iPhone’s settings to greatly increase its battery life. Here are two useful tips for extending the battery life of your iPhone running iOS 16 and 17.

Remove Widgets Voice Mode:

Convenient widgets for your lock screen can give you instant access to data such as sports scores and weather reports. These widgets, however, make programs run constantly in the background, which can quickly deplete your battery. It’s a good idea to minimize or remove these widgets to conserve battery life.

Here’s how you can fix it:

Change to a Lock Screen Profile without Widgets
  • On your lock screen, press down.
  • Swipe to select a profile without widgets.
Take Down Any Current Lock Screen Widgets:
  • Click and hold the lock screen to choose “Customize.”
  • To delete a widget, tap the widget box and press the “-” button on each one.

By simplifying these simple changes on your lock screen, you can decrease the number of apps running in the background, thus consuming battery life.

Turn Off Haptic Keyboard Feedback

Every time you touch a key on the haptic feedback keyboard on your iPhone, a tactile vibration is produced, making typing more engaging. Although interesting, this feature, which was added in iOS 16, can potentially lead to power depletion. Disabling haptic feedback is a wise choice if you value battery life more than typing comfort.

  • To turn off haptic feedback:
  • Go to Settings.
  • Open Sounds & Haptics.
  • Select Keyboard Feedback.
  • Toggle off Haptic.

Turning off this option confirms that every key press doesn’t consume battery power through vibrations.

Additional battery -saving tips

Beyond these two simple hacks, there are other measures you can take to increase your iPhone’s battery life:

  • Stop Background App Refresh: Open Settings > General > Background App Refresh and turn it off for apps that don’t need to update continuously.
  • Enable Low Power Mode: Activate Low Power Mode in Settings > Battery to maximize battery life when you’re running low.

Monitoring battery -Battery Health:

Keep on checking your battery’s health to understand its condition and when it might need changing. In Settings > Battery > Battery Health, you can check the maximum capacity percentage. A battery health of 80% or higher is considered good.

Furthermore, iOS 17.4 adds a new menu that displays how many battery cycles you’ve had and whether your battery is operating appropriately.

By monitoring these indicators, you may be able to predict when your battery needs to be changed and maybe prevent unplanned shutdowns. Your iPhone’s battery life can be greatly increased by implementing these easy changes, so it will always be ready to go when you need it.
