Pakistani Hacker Shahzad Ahmed Acknowledged by NASA for Finding Security Flaw

An expert Pakistani cyber security and ethical hacker, Shahzad Ahmed, has been acknowledged by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) for solving security vulnerability in their systems.
NASA shared its appreciation letter acknowledging Ahmed’s efforts in finding the security flaw while adhering to NASA’s VPD policy and guidelines for reporting responsibly.

They said, “The ability to detect and report on security vulnerabilities is a valuable skill in the information security industry. Your reporting has facilitated NASA’s awareness of otherwise unknown vulnerabilities and helped us protect the integrity and availability of NASA information. Please accept this letter as a token of appreciation for your efforts.”

Before NASA, he had previously received an appreciation letter from the government of KPK for solving security vulnerabilities in the government’s systems. He has also been granted an appreciation certificate for helping control the spread of COVID-19.

Well, talking about Shahzad Ahmed, he is a renowned Google-certified cybersecurity professional working as a cybersecurity engineer at IPS Pakistan, an outsourcing firm. Before this, he also worked as a project manager for cyber security at Great Future Pakistan and was a bug hunter for HackerOne.

After receiving the acknowledgement, Shahzad expressed his gratitude in a social media post: “Alhamdulillah, I hacked and secured NASA and got the appreciated letter.” True success, as he later observed in the same post, is not measured by large houses or cars. True success depends on whether you can do the work that you love.

With this achievement, Shahzad Ahmed inspires others to follow their passions and participate in global cybersecurity improvement, showing that ethical hacking is an important tool for organizations everywhere.
